Q1. ERROR / SYMPTOM: Cannot activate PC Security Shield. / Get an error message that states “No connection was found. Please make sure your computer is connected to the Internet”
Ans.:
Run tools like Downadup and FSMRT tools to resolve the issue
Step1: Run the ‘Downadup’ Tool

Save the file on your C: (C drive)
Access the command prompt by following steps listed below:
1. Click on Start

Click on Run
3.
Type “cmd” and then click on OK
4.
Make sure that the command prompt in on C drive. If it is not, please type c: and the press Enter
Type “pcs_d_140509.exe –disinfect”
The EXE file will launch
Run the tool and remove the ‘Downadup’ virus
Step 2: Run the ‘FSMRT’ tool
Click on http://mybusiness.tataindicombroadband.com/Downloads/pcs_smrt_140509.exe
Save the file on your desktop for convenience
Double click on the EXE file and launch it
Follow the step by step instructions to remove other variants of ‘Downadup’ and other complex viruses that may cause the error
Once you run both tools, please make sure that you are connected to the internet and try activating the software again with the same license key.

Cannot uninstall the existing anti-virus software

If you are able to reach the update server, you will see the message below:
“You are accessing a BackWeb channel (it is not a normal Web site).”
If you cannot reach the update server, kindly check your network or firewall settings to determine what is blocking the connection to the update server.
Step 2: Use the automatic update agent reset tool
Kindly download AUA reset tool by clicking on the link below

Save the file on your desktop for convenience
Double click on the file and click on Run
Once you run the tool, it will reset the virus updates

Internet Connection: An Internet connection is required in order to validate your subscription and receive updates

Minimum System Requirements

Run the F-Secure Diagnostic Tool
The F-Secure diagnostics tool (FSDIAG) gathers vital information from your system and generates a collection of log files. This data contains information about the product, as well as operating system logs and system settings. In some cases this information might be considered confidential. All data collected by the FSDIAG is stored locally. You will need to send the FSDIAG to our support engineers who will use it to solve technical problems specific to your computer.
