  1. What is msales?

    msales is a unique product that enables your field staff to submit sales data from the field using a simple mobile phone. This enables your company to instant, accurate and real time sales information as it happens on the field.

    msales consists of the following broad features:

  4. What is SAAS or Software As A Service?

    “Software As A Service” or SAAS as it is popularly known is a model of software deployment where an application is licensed for use as a service provided to customers on demand. A SAAS application is hosted by the application provider and the user needs to only pay for using the software without having to worry about procuring hardware or training people to maintain the software. SAAS applications typically have a periodic running cost as against one time purchase of software.

  5. Which mobile handsets are supported?
    msales works on most modern phones. You do not very high end mobile phones to use the application. You need a GPRS connection and a Java enabled phone to use msales.

  6. How to configure GPRS on my mobile?

    To configure GPRS on your handset first you need to request service operator to enable GPRS for your number.
    The provider will usually send you the setting via a sms which you need to save on your phone.
  7. How much will it cost me in terms of data transfer?

    The data transfer cost varies based on your provider. You may want to check with your provider in terms of how your data plan is charged. msales does not require a high volume of data transfer and basic data plans available with providers should be sufficient.

  8. What is server communication error?

    Server communication error occurs when internet/GPRS connectivity not available. It is possible when you are in no network coverage area or your GPRS setting is not proper. If the GPRS setting is deleted then acquire it from service provider. Certain phones like Nokia series 40 phones require additional settings to be configured for allowing the applications to access the network. Certain phones do not allow applications to access the internet using a basic wap plan and requires an advanced connection to be enabled. Contact your provider for the same.



  9. How do I configure internet settings for Nokia Series 40 phones?

    These include phones 6270, 6085,3500 etc.
    Step 1 -In the Menu go into Settings -> Configuration -> Default config. settings. Here you will see a list of Access Points configured on the phone.
    Step 2 -Highlight any of the active Access Points. Under 'Options' select 'Set as default'.
    Step 3 - Under Settings -> Configuration now you would see the Access Point selected
    Step 4 -Now under Settings -> Configuration select 'Activ. default in all app.'. On selecting yes you will receive an SMS with your new password. ~
  10. What is no access error or access denied error?

    Access error occurs when you select wrong access point to connect to GPRS. Generally it is related to security exception. When you are connecting to GPRS and you disallow to send and receive data this error occurs.
