Customer FAQs

1. Why the Online Backup (OLB) Service is shutting down?

  • The online Backup service is discontinuing as the Online Backup platform has reached End of Life.

2. When will the OLB service be discontinued?

  • The OLB service will be discontinued on 30th June 2014 or the Subscription End Date for your Service, whichever is earlier (Effective Date).
  • For Monthly subscribers, the Effective Date will be 30th April 2014 and for Annual customers it will be 30th June 2014

3. How will the OLB service discontinuation affect me?

  • The OLB service takes the backup of your existing files on the cloud, whatever files and folders you have on the PC/Laptop is backed to the cloud, and after the service is discontinued you will not be able to backup your data or restore your data. So it is a suggested to restore or take a copy your data before 30th June 2014 (Effective Date).

4. Can I backup my data after the service is discontinued?

  • No you will not be able to back up your data or restore your data after the service is discontinued

5. Can I restore the data stored in the OLB subscription after discontinuation?

  • No, the data will be available till 30th June 2014. After which you will not have access to the data.

6. Will the data which has been backed up on OLB service also contain my data which has been deleted few days/months/years back?

  • The data which is deleted from PC/Laptop is available only till 30 days from the date of deletion on the OLB service and after 30th June 2014 you will not have access to the data.

7. Are you offering any alternative solution to OLB?

  • No, but we are working on a better solution which will be available soon.

8. Will I get refund on the balance months of OLB subscription?

  • Yes, please raise a request with the helpdesk on the below numbers within 30 days of the discontinuation date(Effective Date).

  • The refund amount due to you is from the Effective Date till your subscription end date.
